Peter Duncan

Peter began his career as an actor when he was fifteen playing Jim Hawkins in Treasure Island in London and then went to work in Laurence Olivier’s National Theatre for two years at the Old Vic. In the 1970’s he appeared in the films Quilp,
Stardust and had a famous cameo in Flash Gordon plus many roles on television including King Cinder, Space 1999, Play for Today and Warship.
In the 1980’s he became a Blue Peter presenter and went on to make his own adventures series, Duncan Dares. During the 1990’s he began to star in musicals playing Barnum, Charlie Chaplin in the The Little Tramp, Me and my Girl and The Card for which he was nominated for an Oliver award for best actor in a musical.

His adventures beyond acting continued, including a documentary driving around the world through Russia and Alaska and making his own TV series filming his family as they backpacked through Africa, Nepal, China and India to name but a few destinations.
He was chosen to be the UK’s 9th Chief Scout in 2005 and during that time began to write and produce his own pantomimes following in his parent’s footsteps.
He continued to work in the theatre and on television until the pandemic struck when he was inspired to film and create his own interactive online pantomimes. They had a cinema release and were shown in over two thousand schools as well as to families at home.
He hopes you have as much fun watching them as he did making them.
