Peter Duncan & Pantomime
I have been steeped in Pantomime since I was a little boy, my parents were panto producers and I spent my childhood in the wings watching them perform, soaking up the laughter and storytelling.
I would finally make it on stage in the songsheet where I became the knowing ‘feed’ to my father's funny man. It was not surprising I became an actor at 15 and then a Blue Peter presenter in the 80’s and UK's Chief Scout amongst many other lifetime adventures. I began writing and performing in my own pantomimes at theatres around the country but at the beginning of the pandemic I realised that the chance of a normal pantomime season was slim so in a moment of inspiration I filmed a version of Jack and the Beanstalk in my own back garden.
It went on to be a great success streaming to schools, online to families and even had a UK wide cinema release. Our next production, Cinderella was shot on location and has great spectacle, beautiful music, laughter and all the surprises you would expect from an interactive pantomime. Our third online film Pantoland will be ready for Christmas and be available through this website along with Jack & Cinders. I hope you have as much fun watching them as we did making them.
